Why we built Movesmith.
Movesmith is a London-based removals booking service built on one idea: the price you see before you book is the price you pay.
The problem
Too many removal quotes change on the day. An hourly meter keeps running, stairs or parking become an extra, and the person who quoted you isn't the person who turns up.
Our promise
One fixed price, worked out from what you're moving, the access at each end and the date. A vetted crew checked against your actual move. One company, Movesmith Ltd, responsible for your booking from quote to completion.
How we vet moving operators
Every move is carried out by an independent moving operator who has passed our checks. We check before they join, and again for every move.

Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance, checked before an operator can take jobs.

Identity
A Companies House check for limited companies; ID and base address for sole traders.

Vehicles and crew
A signed vehicle-compliance declaration, and the fleet, crew size and job types they can take on.

Every move
The vehicle, crew and skills must fit your inventory and access, and their insurance is checked for your move date.
