    Enter your move details and see your price before you book. Extras, route charges and selected services are shown before confirmation.

    We match your move

    Movesmith matches your booking with a verified local operator based on availability, suitability and reliability.

    Move day is managed

    Your operator completes the move and confirms completion. Payment is then captured securely through Stripe.

    Support if something changes

    If plans change, something is delayed or there is an issue, Movesmith helps manage the process.

How soon can I book?

Same-day bookings are possible subject to supplier availability in your area. For a standard residential move we recommend booking at least 48 hours ahead to get the best supplier match.

What happens after I book?

At booking: your card is saved with Stripe (no funds charged or held), you get a booking confirmation email, and our dispatch team starts matching you with an operator.

When your operator is confirmed (typically 24–48 hours before your move): your card is authorised — funds equal to your quote are reserved by Stripe, not yet captured. You'll get an email with the operator's company name, driver contact number, and a direct link to your booking.

On move day: the operator arrives in the agreed time window. When the move's complete, they mark it complete in their app and your card is captured.

What if I need to reschedule?

Free if you reschedule 48 or more hours before your move. £35 admin fee if closer to the day or if you already used your free reschedule.

You can reschedule directly from your confirmation page — no phone call needed.
