How to self-pack like you've done it before
Start with the rooms you use least
Spare room, books, out-of-season clothes — packing the low-traffic stuff first keeps the house liveable until the final days.
Heavy in small, light in large
Books go in small boxes, bedding in large ones. A box one person can lift safely is a box that survives the move.
Wrap fragiles one at a time
Tissue first, bubble wrap for the breakable pieces, and fill the gaps so nothing shifts. Plates travel best on their edges, not flat.
Label by room, not by contents
"Bedroom 2" on the side (not the top) of every box means the crew can land each one in the right room without asking.

What's in a Movesmith self-packing kit?
Each kit is a sized bundle of printed boxes (small to large, plus wardrobe boxes), packing tape, tissue paper and bubble wrap — the exact contents of every kit are listed above before you choose.
How do I order a kit?
Add it during booking — the kit appears as its own clear line on your fixed move price.
When does the kit arrive?
Delivery normally takes 1–3 working days. Where possible, order at least 5 working days before your move. Carrier tracking appears in your customer account when available.
Which kit size do I need?
Match it to your bedrooms: studio & 1-bed, 2-bed, 3-bed, or 4-bed+ jumbo. Every home packs differently — review the contents list and size up if you own a lot.
Does a kit include packing labour?
No — kits are materials for packing yourself. If you'd rather have your crew pack for you, packing services can be booked separately as part of your move.
What if I need more boxes than the kit has?
The contents are listed on every kit so you can judge before ordering. Larger or fuller homes may need additional materials — size up, or top up from any supplier.
