Marketplace furniture delivery

Furniture collected from the source and delivered to your door.

One item or several, including your own belongings. Plan a direct, same-day collection from a retailer, seller, auction house, business or private address. Tell us your items and access details; release evidence is needed when another party controls collection. We check suitable team availability before booking.

  • Same-day direct delivery
  • No cash or on-site repricing
  • Approved capability matching
  • Private evidence restricted by role

Where are we collecting from?

The questions change with the source. The delivery flow stays joined up.

  • Retailer or store

Add the order or collection reference and confirm the retailer is ready to release the item.

  • Online marketplace or private seller

Record the seller contact, agreed collection window and authority to release the goods.

  • Auction house

Add the lot or release reference and the auction house collection window.

  • Another business

Capture the business contact, reference and loading instructions that matter to collection.

  • Private address

Keep the handover simple while still confirming the item, access and delivery plan.

  • Another collection source

Describe the custodian and release arrangement so Movesmith can review it safely.

How it works

One clear route from item selection to delivery.

  1. 1

    Choose the source and items

Select every item and quantity. Add a customer-declared value and known condition for each line.

  2. 2

    Confirm handover and access

Give the agreed collection window, authority or reference, then describe parking, floors, lifts and carry distance at delivery.

  3. 3

    Add only the relevant evidence

A listing or seller image can support item planning. Private order or release evidence stays restricted to the assigned operator and Movesmith teams. Access photos are requested only for a specific difficult or uncertain delivery issue.

  4. 4

    Review price and plan

See transport, access or schedule effects and eligible item services separately. Unsupported or ambiguous scope is reviewed before a price is confirmed.

  5. 5

    Follow the job status

After assignment, follow supported milestones from acceptance through collection and delivery. Status updates are not a promise of continuous live GPS.

Information that prevents surprises

Enough detail to plan the move. No unnecessary personal data.

  • Actual furniture or appliance, quantity, dimensions where known, declared value per unit and condition
  • One service date and the seller or source's agreed collection window
  • Release authority, order or lot reference when another person or organisation controls collection
  • Parking, loading, floors, lifts, carry distance and awkward access at the relevant ends
  • Only the source or access evidence named for this job: for example a private retailer release document, a seller listing image, or a specific difficult-delivery access photo; no people, number plates, access codes or payment details
  • A same-day recipient handover — Movesmith does not store or hold the goods overnight

Price, planning and capability

See what drives the plan before anyone collects.

Transparent scope

Transport, access or scheduling effects and eligible item-bound services are shown separately. A scope mismatch goes back to Movesmith; it is not repriced in cash at the door.

Crew and vehicle planning

Selected quantities, item handling and both-end access determine the safe minimum crew and vehicle class. Ambiguous or specialist items stop the instant route for review.

Approved service capability

Third-party furniture collections and supported appliance services match only to the relevant Admin-approved capability. Self-declaration alone does not make an operator eligible.

Status without overpromising

Follow supported job milestones.

The existing Movesmith job lifecycle carries acceptance, en route, arrival, collection evidence, delivery progress and completion. Customers see supported statuses; sellers receive only the limited collection confirmation relevant to them. Recipient details and delivery progress remain private.

Trust, evidence and privacy

Evidence is collected for a reason.

Item sizing can be available before acceptance where needed to assess the job. Exact addresses, contacts, order references and private release evidence remain restricted until assignment or to authorised Movesmith teams. Evidence retention follows the booking and legal-hold rules.

Marketplace furniture delivery questions

Plain answers on collection, pricing, evidence, appliance boundaries and job status.

Can Movesmith collect from a private seller or retailer?

Yes, when the release contact, agreed collection window and any required order or collection authority are confirmed. The assigned operator receives only the private handover information needed for the job.

Will Movesmith store the item between collection and delivery?

No. This service is a direct, same-day collection and delivery. Choose a workable date and handover arrangement; overnight holding or storage is not part of the service.

Why do you ask for values or evidence?

Customer-declared values, condition notes and source-relevant evidence help Movesmith assess scope and match suitable approved capability. A retailer order or release document stays private; a marketplace listing can support planning without asking for a new customer-taken photo. The assigned operator records the authoritative condition evidence at collection and completion. Declared values are not treated as independently verified purchase prices.

Can the operator change the price or ask for cash at collection?

No. The operator must not agree extra work, change the price or take direct cash. If the item or access differs from the confirmed scope, they pause and report it through Movesmith for a platform decision.

Can furniture be dismantled and rebuilt?

Eligible standard items can show dismantling at pickup, reassembly at delivery or both as item-bound services. Specialist, unsupported or unclear items are reviewed instead of being silently priced.

Can appliances be disconnected or reconnected?

Only eligible freestanding appliances with accessible standard plug-in or water-fed connections can use an approved service, and only with a separately approved operator capability. Gas, hardwired, integrated or unsafe connection work is excluded.

Do I get live tracking?

You receive the job statuses supported by the Movesmith workflow, such as accepted, en route, arrived, collected and delivered. We do not describe this as continuous live GPS unless an active tracking source genuinely provides that location.

What happens if the seller is unavailable or the item is different?

The operator follows the confirmed contact route, remains within the agreed job rules and records a structured exception. They do not improvise extra work or leave with a different item without a Movesmith decision.

Ready to plan the collection?

Start with the source and actual items. Movesmith will ask only the questions relevant to that handover.
