Book, pay for and track moves in one Movesmith Business account.
Your organisation can pay for a move, or send it to the person moving to review and pay. Every move uses the same fixed-price engine as movesmith.uk, and we review each organisation before opening its account.
Sometimes a person can't go back to the home they left: they need a ground-floor flat, supported housing or a care home instead, and their belongings need to follow. Hospital discharge and adult social care teams can book those moves through a Movesmith Business account, or prepare them for the person or their family to review and pay.
A practical handover
- ✓Book a move from the person's home to a new home, a care home or supported housing, and choose move by move whether your organisation or the family pays.
- ✓Tell us access needs only, such as stairs, lifts or parking. We don't need medical details, so please don't send them.
- ✓Add your PO or job reference to each move, so it matches your own records.
- ✓We move the person's own furniture and belongings. We don't move your organisation's own furniture, equipment or stock, and we don't offer clearances.
- ✓Moves are carried out by independent moving operators on the Movesmith network, each with Goods in Transit and Public Liability checked before they can take a job. Movesmith stays your point of contact.
- ✓Movesmith accepts liability for loss of or damage to the goods during the move, within the published Movesmith Cover limits.
