Your organisation can pay for a move, or send it to the person moving to review and pay. Every move uses the same fixed-price engine as movesmith.uk, and we review each organisation before opening its account.
Housing teams arrange moves for many reasons: a transfer to a better-suited home, a downsizing move, or a temporary move while major works are carried out. Movesmith Business gives your team one place to prepare those moves, choose who pays, and follow each one to completion, with the same fixed-price engine as movesmith.uk.
A practical handover
- ✓Book and pay for the moves your organisation funds, or send a move to the tenant to review and pay.
- ✓Add your PO or job reference to each move, so it matches your own records.
- ✓We move the person's own furniture and belongings. We don't move your organisation's own furniture, equipment or stock, and we don't offer clearances.
- ✓Give the tenant's access details, such as stairs, lifts and parking, and any access needs. We don't need medical details.
- ✓Moves are carried out by independent moving operators on the Movesmith network, each with Goods in Transit and Public Liability checked before they can take a job. Movesmith stays your point of contact.
- ✓Movesmith accepts liability for loss of or damage to the goods during the move, within the published Movesmith Cover limits.
