Your organisation can pay for a move, or send it to the person moving to review and pay. Every move uses the same fixed-price engine as movesmith.uk, and we review each organisation before opening its account.
Downsizing from a long-time family home into a later-living apartment is a big step, and the furniture that goes with it is usually the furniture that matters most. Retirement villages, later-living operators and senior move managers can book these moves through Movesmith Business, or prepare them for the resident or their family to review and pay.
A practical handover
- ✓Prepare the move for the pieces that are coming, then send it to the resident or a family member to review and pay, or book it as your organisation.
- ✓Describe the new apartment's access, such as lifts, stairs, parking and any move-in times the site sets.
- ✓Add access needs only. We don't need medical details, so please don't include them.
- ✓We move the person's own furniture and belongings. We don't move your organisation's own furniture, equipment or stock, and we don't offer clearances.
- ✓Movesmith accepts liability for loss of or damage to the goods during the move, within the published Movesmith Cover limits.
