Moving in Merton — Wimbledon, Morden and Mitcham
Wimbledon sets the tone at the western end: large detached houses, and in Wimbledon Park many Victorian houses with big grounds that were divided into flats or pulled down for apartment blocks. - Colliers Wood has no-through-traffic schemes on both sides of the High Street, and Abbey Road and Pincott Road became permanent in August 2026.
- In Mitcham, Lewis Road, Love Lane, Mitcham Park, Sandy Lane, Tamworth Park, St Georges Road and Ashbourne Road are filtered, as is Commonside East.
- Merton's school streets restrict motor access at drop-off and pick-up, so a morning load on one of those roads may need to start after the school run.
- The A24 runs through Colliers Wood and Morden and the A3 passes the Raynes Park side of the borough; if your door is on either main road, say so when you quote, because loading there is limited.
