The price is for the job: the item, the access at the seller's and at yours, the drive and the date. A seller across the country is one fixed price, not a meter.

A single item
from £100
Our lowest published single-item price: a short local drive, near the door at both ends, on a Monday to Thursday in the middle of the month. Prices include VAT.
Bought two things from the same seller? Add both, and the quote prices them as one job.
See your price in minutes. The earliest you can book is the next day.
Every price is on our price list. Road charges such as the Congestion Charge show as their own line in the quote, never added afterwards.
What we collect from eBay sellers
Collection-only listings are usually the big things: furniture, appliances and antiques.

Bureaus, display cabinets, bikes and gym kit.
Pianos, safes and very heavy or fragile pieces go to our team, who confirm a fixed price before you book.
How collection from an eBay seller works
Agree the handover in eBay messages, then book with the seller's details.

Agree a collection day and time window with the seller in eBay messages. Pay them as you agreed; the driver can't take payment for you.

The seller's name and phone number, and any listing or item number. The driver calls them on the way.

The driver collects from the seller, wraps the item and delivers it to you in one trip. Nothing is held overnight.
Before you book
Paid and agreed
Pay the seller as agreed before the collection day. The driver won't carry cash or pay on your behalf.
Measure the item
Check the seller's sizes against your doorways, stairs and lift before you book.
A contact on the day
Add a name and phone number for the person releasing the goods. The driver calls them if anything is unclear.
A collect-by date
Some shops and sellers only hold goods for a set time. Add the date when you book, so the collection is planned before it.
Your route in
Check the turns on your stairs, the size of any lift and the width of your hallway. Long boxes and big sofas need room to turn.
Parking at both ends
Choose where the van can stop lawfully. If a permit or paid bay is needed, tell us who's arranging it.

How much does it cost?
Single items start from £100: a short local drive, near the door at both ends, on a Monday to Thursday in the middle of the month. Prices include VAT. A bigger item, stairs without a lift or a longer drive add time, all inside the fixed price you see before you book.
How do I pay the seller?
Pay the seller the way you agreed on eBay, before the collection day. You pay Movesmith for the delivery only. The driver can't take or carry money for the item.
What if the seller isn't in or the item is different?
The driver calls the seller on the number you gave. If the seller isn't there or the item isn't what was listed, the driver reports it to Movesmith and doesn't leave with something different. We tell you the options before anything changes.
What if it won't fit through my door?
Measure before you book. If the driver can't get the item in safely, they stop and report it rather than force it.
Are you part of eBay?
No. Movesmith is independent and isn't affiliated with these retailers. You buy from the seller, and we collect the item and deliver it to you.
How soon can you collect?
The earliest you can book is the next day. Choose a date in the quote and you see the price for that date before you book. If the shop or seller has a collect-by date, pick a date before it.
Who is responsible if something is damaged?
Movesmith accepts liability for your goods while we move them, under the terms shown before you book. Every move includes Movesmith Cover up to £10,000 — with increased cover up to £50,000 available when you declare a higher value.
