Move-Day Location Sharing Terms
Last updated 21 October 2026 · Version 1.0
For Operators: only from when you accept them with “OK, share my location” in the Supplier Portal (clause LS3).
Movesmith. Version 1.0.
These terms add to the Movesmith Marketplace Terms for Operators. They apply to you only once you accept them, as clause LS3 explains.
LS1 What these terms are. These Move-Day Location Sharing Terms add to the Movesmith Marketplace Terms that form your agreement with us. Once they apply to you, clause LS2 replaces clause 16.8 of the Marketplace Terms. Everything else in the Marketplace Terms continues to apply. Words with capital letters have the meanings given in the Marketplace Terms.
LS2 Move-day location sharing and arrival estimates. Once these terms apply to you, where the Supplier Portal offers it, when you report that you are on your way to an address, the device you use shares its location with Movesmith until you check in at that address. Movesmith shows the latest location, the road route and an estimated arrival time to the Customer and, for a Movesmith Business Booking, to the Partner and its client, and texts them when you are about ten minutes away. Sharing stops automatically when you check in, when the Booking is completed, cancelled or reassigned, after four hours and at midnight, and you can pause it at any time. Only the latest device to start sharing for a Booking shares its location. Movesmith deletes the location history within 72 hours and clears the latest location when you arrive. Location data is used only to show the Move's progress and arrival estimates, to send move-day messages and to resolve support queries. It is not used to issue or support a Strike under clause 21.1, to rank or allocate Operators, or to rate driving or speed. Where location sharing is paused or unavailable, Movesmith uses your one reading when you report that you are on your way, your last recorded stop that day or your base to estimate your arrival time, and if no estimate can be calculated you choose an approximate arrival time. That reading, the estimate and how it was calculated are stored with the Booking as move-day evidence for the Customer's late-arrival credits under clause 33.4. An estimate is not a new arrival window and does not change your obligation under clause 16.1(a). You must tell each driver and crew member who uses the device about this location sharing before move day, and you must not ask a driver to share a location while driving in a way that breaks the law.
LS3 When these terms apply to you. These terms apply to you only once you accept them. You accept them when you, or a driver using your Supplier Portal account, tap "OK, share my location" on the location-sharing notice for a Booking. They apply to you from the moment you accept, and we record the time and the version accepted. Until you accept them, the rest of your agreement with us continues unchanged, including clause 16.8 of the Marketplace Terms: you can still carry out the Booking, and your device does not share its location beyond what that clause describes. Not accepting these terms is never a Strike. Accepting them changes nothing else in your agreement.
