Operator questions
I'm not in London — is it worth registering?
Yes. New areas open regularly, and registered operators get first refusal on jobs the moment their area goes live — you'll be verified and ready before anyone else can claim them.
What does it cost to register?
Nothing. There is no sign-up fee, no listing fee, no lead fee and no monthly subscription. You only pay the agreed commission on jobs you complete.
Do I need insurance before I register?
Not to register — tell us the Goods in Transit level you hold, or that you don't hold it yet. You do need valid Goods in Transit and Public Liability cover before taking your first job, and we check the documents during verification.

How do jobs get priced?
Movesmith prices the job, not the hour, and shows the customer that fixed price before they book. You see the price of a job before you accept it — there is no bidding and no race to the bottom.
Your commission is agreed during onboarding based on your area, vehicle and crew setup.
When will my area go live?
We open areas as enough verified operators come online to cover them properly — so we won't give you a date we can't keep. What we will do is tell you when yours is approaching, verify your documents then, and offer you jobs before operators who registered later.
What happens to my details in the meantime?
They're held on your registration so we can contact you when your area is approaching launch. You can ask us to delete them at any time by emailing supplier@movesmith.uk.
